On 20th of April, we had the second edition of BREWT meetups! This time it was in the blue towers in Ghent on the 9th floor. With a view over the water enjoying our sandwiches, organised by MIPS, we started the meetup!
We started with 2 wonderful lightning talks by Geert and Andreas.
Geert enlightened us about the ‘Ticket machine’ and Andreas did a ‘dry-run’ of his talk he’ll be doing at the Polish Testing cup!
There were 2 rooms with 4 time slots each and one continuous activity.
One of the topics that was arranged was the ‘Talk with the Product owner‘. We had invited a seasoned Product Owner to talk about her experiences and expectations about testing.
The other topics, proposed by the participants were:
- Where to begin on becoming more technical
- Difference between development team and test team
- Pairing between developers and testers
- Development trends VS. Testing trends
- Let’s talk about SCRUM
- Dealing with versions
Of course, what would a testing meetup be without a game of TestSphere, a game where people can share their test stories!
The continuous track we had was an application by iText. An application that processes PDFs that we got to play around with and learn about!
We learned a lot and had a lot of fun doing it! If you were there, thank you for coming and if you weren’t we hope you can come next time!
